What is the procedure to get access to the equipment?
You should contact one of the instrument supervisors or the facility director, complete the user form and provide us with an account or financial information to cover the training and/or usage charges.
Will the TEM or XPS help users get the results they expect?
Anyone is free to contact and consult with us. The first session is most often free of charge and is dedicated to explore the capabilities of a specific instrument for the analysis of your samples. We’ll also discuss and determine how the facility can benefit your research.
Can UA faculty obtain some beam time free of charge for proposal writing?
The facility will assist and make the equipment available for that purpose for a limited number of hours, provided the proposal is made available ot us and includes a monetary amount dedicated to cover the facility usage. The details and other aspects of this support are currently being discussed.
